Exciting news is on the horizon as the long-awaited Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 is finally ready to roll! The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) recently announced the launch of metro services on this transformative 11.10-kilometre route. According to the latest release by CIDCO, the metro services will kick off this Friday, starting at 3:00 PM, shuttling between Pendhar to Belapur Terminal and vice versa until 10:00 PM. From November 18 onwards, the services will commence at 6:00 AM, operating till 10:00 PM, with a frequency of every 15 minutes.

The CIDCO release breaks down the fares neatly: Rs. 10 for distances spanning 0 to 2 kilometers, Rs. 15 for 2 to 4 kilometers, Rs. 20 for 4 to 6 kilometers, Rs. 25 for 6 to 8 kilometers, Rs. 30 for 8 to 10 kilometers, and Rs. 40 for journeys beyond 10 kilometers. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed his enthusiasm for the commencement, stating, “The much-awaited metro services will commence on Line 1 between Belapur to Pendhar from November 17.
