Hearty congratulations to all Navi Mumbaikars.” He emphasized the state government's determination to expedite the metro's operation for the people's benefit, even bypassing an official public ceremony.

It's noteworthy that the metro route was ready for operations some time ago, awaiting only the inauguration. However, the state government decided to proceed without waiting for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, showcasing its commitment to public convenience and efficient transport.

Chief Minister Shinde emphasized the enhanced connectivity the metro will bring to Navi Mumbai and the government's ambitious plan to expand the metro network in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. With CIDCO effectively executing the metro network's implementation in Navi Mumbai, this move is a significant stride towards accessible and efficient public transport.

Anil Diggikar, CIDCO's vice chairperson and managing director, highlighted that Line 1 would significantly bolster connectivity for Kharghar, Taloja, and CBD Belapur, contributing to Navi Mumbai's transformation into an international city. The 11-station route, featuring the depot at Taloja Panchanand, promises improved connectivity and convenience for residents and visitors alike.

In conclusion, the commencement of Navi Mumbai's Metro Line 1 signifies a game-changing moment for the city's transportation landscape, heralding enhanced connectivity and convenience for all.
