Sindhudurg Battlers Monsoon Fury: NDRF Deployed for Flood Relief

Sindhudurg, Maharashtra - July 8, 2024 - Heavy rain lashing Sindhudurg district since yesterday has caused a flood-like situation in several areas.

The incessant downpour has led to overflowing rivers, inundating low-lying areas and disrupting road traffic. Talukas like Vaibhavwadi, Kankavali, and Kudal are among the worst affected.

Reports indicate that water levels in major rivers have risen significantly, causing concern. The situation is further compounded by some villages being cut off due to flooded roads.

The district administration has issued an advisory urging residents to stay indoors and avoid venturing into flooded areas. Those in vulnerable locations have been advised to move to safer grounds.
