So Many Big Bollywood Stars In JP Dutta’s Next “Paltan”! It’s Going To Be Bigger, Better & Blasting

Producer-director JP Dutta is widely acclaimed for excellence in making movies on the topic of war and his superhit films including “Border”, “LOC: Kargil” and “Refugee” are reminiscent of the bravery of real heroes of India. After about 14 years, he is all set to make one more movie entitled “Paltan” on the similar platform and good news is that his battalion is ready for the ultimate battle.

The film is based on the war which took place between China and India in the year 1962 and shows the life-story of real heroes. The movie is written, directed and produced by Dutta who has selected big actors of Bollywood, such as Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Arjun Rampal, Abhishek Bachchan, Siddhant Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Pulkit Samrat, Siddhant Kapoor, Jimmy Sheirgill and Luv Sinha for the flick.

As reported by TOI, JP Dutta revealed this,

“It’s time we diverted our attention to our other neighbour, who is a bigger threat than Pakistan. A mighty power in world politics, China is claiming Arunachal Pradesh as a part of its territory. Even their map shows the state as a part of their country. During the 1962 war, China took over a large part of Ladakh and feels that the remaining area belongs to it, too. It’s a discussion waiting to happen, which makes my film’s subject relevant.”

Several movies have been made on 1962 Indo-China war earlier too, such as Priya Rajvansh and Balraj Sahni starrer “Haqeeqat” which released in the year 1964 and got the National Award.
Dutta added,

“People will always make comparisons. I don’t know what others have done, but I’m sticking to history. This is the time to address some hard-hitting questions about the history of India’s relations with China. I have the Central government’s support on the project and can’t wait to get started on the set.”

We too are damn excited for the movie! What about you?
