Dabhosa Waterfall

Dabhosa Waterfall is situated in the Dabhosa village on the Jawhar-Silvassa road which is 18 km from Jawhar, in  Palghar District of Maharastra State, India. Dabhosa waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Maharashtra. To top it all this is one of the very few waterfalls which is perrennial. The crater shaped bowl into which the waterfall cascades and the lake at the bottom of the waterfall is truly a spectacular site for the urbanite.
The waterfall is in its full gush during monsoon and the weather is very nice almost all through the year. There is a camp site nearby which attracts lots of tourists for night stay. Adventure sports including kayaking, rappelling, laddering, valley crossing and zip line, trekking and fishing are available.

By Rail: Nashik Station
By Road: Distance  is 80 km from Nashik and 180 km from Mumbai.



Places to see nearby:
1. Jai Vilas Palace: This huge palace is famous for its structure and size. Also called as Raj Bari. It is owned by the tribal king of Jawhar. Being a private property one hardly gets the permission to see it from inside.
2. Sunset Point: As the name suggests, this point really give you a magnificent view of the settling sun. The view of the valley below from here is also picturesque.
3. Shirpamal: It is a place where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj camped on his way to Surat. The surrounding view is quite breathtaking.
