Shreewardhan is an
important village in central Konkan. Situated at the south end of Raigad
district, this naturally beautiful village is a birth place of First Peshwa of
Maratha Empire, Balaji Vishwanath. Majestic sea-shore has added to the beauty
of the village. It is adorned by dense vegetation of coconut and betel nut
trees. Structure of the village is well planned with mostly all roads being
parallel to each other. It's spread in about 4.2 square km.
