In a heartwarming move to facilitate the journey of devotees to Konkan for the upcoming Ganeshotsav festival, the state government has announced a significant relief measure. From September 16 to October 1, toll fees will be waived for individuals traveling to Ganpati in Konkan. This thoughtful decision aims to ease the financial burden on devotees during this auspicious time.
Introducing the 'Ganeshotsav 2023,
Konkan Darshan' Pass:
To streamline this initiative and make
the process more convenient for travelers, special toll waiver passes have been
introduced. These passes, aptly named 'Ganeshotsav 2023, Konkan Darshan,' will
bear the car number and driver’s name, providing a personalized touch to the
journey.
Accessible Pass Distribution:
To ensure that these passes are
readily available to all travelers, they will be distributed at various
locations. Police stations, traffic police chowkis, and Regional Transport
Office (RTO) offices will work in coordination with the transport department,
traffic police, and concerned RTOs to make these passes easily accessible to
all. This thoughtful approach will save travelers both time and effort,
allowing them to focus on the spiritual experience of Ganeshotsav.
Valid for Return Travel:
One notable feature of the
'Ganeshotsav 2023, Konkan Darshan' pass is its validity for return travel. This
means that devotees can make a round trip to Konkan during the specified period
without incurring any toll fees, making the pilgrimage even more accessible and
affordable.
