Konkan Railway Trains Delayed by 6 Hours Due to Lack of Planning

Ganeshotsav (Ganesh Chaturthi) in 2023 is a matter of extreme joy for the people of Konkan. Consequently, residents of Konkan have been reserving their railway tickets months in advance. However, due to the railway authorities' lack of planning, Konkan passengers are facing delays of 5 to 6 hours at railway stations. The trains in Konkan are running late by up to 6 hours, causing frustration among the passengers. This has resulted in extended travel times, turning what should be a 12-hour journey into an 18-hour ordeal, leaving commuters disgruntled.

On the Konkan Railway downline route, train speeds have significantly slowed down. All trains are running three to four hours behind schedule, affecting regular services as well. This disruption has also impacted some railway services, such as the cancellation of the Mandovi Express this morning. Passengers traveling to witness Ganeshotsav are experiencing longer waiting times on Konkan Railway platforms.

Traveling to Konkan has become a challenging task for passengers, especially during the festive season. The overwhelming enthusiasm for Ganeshotsav has led to a massive influx of travelers to the region. The increased rush has also caused overcrowding at railway stations. Many passengers missed their trains due to these chaotic conditions. The images of passengers struggling to board trains at Mumbai and Thane railway stations have emerged.

Due to the mismanagement of Konkan Railway, all trains are running 5 to 6 hours behind schedule. Even though passengers have booked superfast express tickets, they are left with no choice but to endure an 18-hour journey. Passengers are questioning when they will reach their destination.
