Kondivali Beach

Kondivali Beach is located ~5 kms from Shrivardhan and is known for water sport adventure activities available here. Choices include surfing, paragliding on surf, and motor boat rides.

If the beaches along Srivardhan are marvelous then the adventure sports available at the Kondvil beach are out of this world. Situated at almost 4-5 km from Srivardhan the Kondvil beach simply refuses to be faithful to the general definition of a beach.

The long soft white sand beach has been remarkably spruced up to realise the dreams of every Water Sports adventure buff. Kondvil beach is just the option if you are wondering how it feels to cut the waves at 100 mile an hour or Para glide on the surf or even surfing on the clear water waves of Kondvil. The adventure doesn’t start at the beach actually, one has the option of trekking down the lovely cliffs of Shriwardhan.

If so inclined, it is possible to trek to Kondvil Beach down from the cliffs of Shrivardhan. This is an especially fun activity on a cool day.

Accommodation options are several in Shriwardhan. One can find budget hotels and resorts with good facilities. There are very few luxury hotels in the town. The hotels provide modern amenities.

Getting There :

Mumbai, 185 Kms via roads; Route: Mumbai-Panvel-Pen-Kolad-Mangaon-Mhasla-Srivardhan.

By Air : Mumbai Chatrapati Shivaji International airport, which is 185 km away from Shrivardhan, is the nearest airport. All the major airlines have service from Mumbai to all major cities in India and many cities abroad including Singapore, Hong Kong, Colombo and gulf countries. Taxis are available from Mumbai to Shrivardhan and costs about Rs 4000.

By Rail : Nearest railhead is Mangaon, which is 45 km away from Shrivardhan and this railway station in Konkan rail is well connected to Pune and Mumbai.

By Road : Shrivardhan is well connected to all neighboring cities by Government owned buses. Buses connect Mumbai (185 km), Pune (180 km), Harihareshwar (20 km) and Panavel (125 km). Private A/C and non A/C deluxe buses are also available from Shrivardhan to many cities in the State including Mumbai and Pune. Bus fare is about Rs 3 to Rs 4 per head.
