Chicken Rassa Dish

YOU WILL NEED
1.      600 grams CHICKEN
2.      ginger piece
3.      10/12 - garlic cloves
4.      1 cup - coriander leaves
5.      1 tspn - turmeric powder
6.      1 tspn - garam masala 

FOR GRINDING
1.      1 - medium onion sliced
2.      1 cup - dry shredded coconut
3.      2 tspn - coriander seeds
4.      1/2 tspn - black cumin
5.      8/10 - black peppercorns
6.      1 - cardamom
7.      2 - cinnamon stick
8.      1 - medium onion finely chopped
9.      1 cup - tomato puree
10.  2 tspn - red chilly powder
11.  Salt as per taste
12.  Chopped Coriander leaves for garnishing

METHOD
1.      Grind ginger-garlic-coriander to a fine paste. Marinate chicken with turmeric powder,garam masala and salt and refrigerate for 4-5 hours.
2.      Heat oil in a saucepan. Add sliced onion, coriander seeds, black cumin, black peppercorns,cinnamon stick, cloves and cardamom. Stir till onion becomes golden brown. Then add dry coconut and stir till it becomes brown.
3.      Grind whole mixture to make a fine paste.
4.      Heat oil in a saucepan and add finely chopped onion. Stir till onion becomes soft and translucent. Add 2 tspn red chilly powder.Stir for a minute and then add marinated chicken.
5.      Mix well then add 1 cup of water. Let the chicken cook for 10-15 minutes. When chicken will cooked add tomato puree and ground onion-spices paste. Mix well.
6.      Add salt if needed. Boil it for 5 minutes.
7.      Now garnish with coriander leaves....

 Ready To Serve
