Yogiraj Babumama Keni

Yogiraj Bapumama Keni was born in 1690 AD. His ancestors moved from Goa and settled in south Karnataka. He was raised by his elder sister after he lost his parents in childhood.
He was sharp and talented from his childhood. He is well-known for continuously repeating “Dnyaneshwari” for 21 times in Alandi, when Saint Dnyaneshwar gave his blessings. He spent around 21 years in meditation and chanting in Alandi after which he came to Ajara where he saved life of a son of a local businessman. He then moved to Shiroda where he lived for almost 40 years. The place became a holy place because of his stay there. He is known for many miracles and legends.
